Manic Monday

Yesterday was my teenager's "first day of school".

AKA the day high school co-op starts.

Mimi decided she'd like to try it this year,

after being deeply opposed last year.

Having friends there really helps!

She's getting her feet wet with one class.

Buddy dove in for a pretty full schedule.

They have to be there by....

well, shortly after we normally rise.

Mac has a piano lesson after they get dropped off,

and Mimi has a cello lesson in the afternoon.

Co-op is followed by an afternoon of homeschool orchestra for both girls,

Then, just for fun,

we squeeze in Princess' violin lesson on the way home.

All of these take place in our old city,

an hour and a half away from our new home.

This means we leave our house at dawn

and return after dark.

We are officially dubbing all Mondays

"Manic Monday"

In honor of my fragile sanity for agreeing to all this.

The rest of the week I plan on doing a lot of

nothing.

But only after I've finished

prying my fingers off the steering wheel.
